2024-2025 Preacher Series
The Episcopal Church believes preaching can “reflect God's presence, love, and guidance in a particular moment of the church's life. The sermon is not an abstract statement of truth, and it is not just a personalized commentary on scripture. The sermon must engage the faith and understanding of the one who preaches and the ones who hear."
Preaching also is not limited to experiences of biblical proclamation in worship. “Preach the Gospel at all times, use words, when necessary,” St. Francis of Assisi reminds us. We all have a call to preach through our actions, attitudes, and words so that Jesus’ risen life may be evident in our faith, hope, and compassionate action.
This year, St. Paul’s engages urgent realities and timely opportunities in a world that asks us to strengthen our resolve to embody Christ’s justice and love, in all our spheres of connection and influence. Join us on Sundays as we learn and grow together!
