Outreach at St. Paul's

THE CIRCLE of St. PAUL'S

The Circle is one of the longest running ministry teams at St. Paul’s, formed in the 1930s when a small sewing circle of friends in Hillsborough wanted to "make some money for the church." It began in a vacant store in downtown Burlingame and moved into St. Paul’s in 1952. The group meets monthly to plan events and provide wonderful support and fellowship for its members. Its annual activities include a Christmas Tea that is a tradition for the whole community.

The major work of the Circle centers on the bi-annual Rummage Sales – Come join us October 5th and 6th. See home page for details

The Rummage sales provides well-priced clothing and household goods to shoppers, and connects thousands of people locally, throughout California, and as far away as the Pacific Islands. All year long rummage is delivered to the church’s doorstep, which means that members of the Circle sort this rummage twice a week, every week.

Circle members have a record of being successful and astute businesswomen: past and present members have raised over $1.1 million, all of which, after expenses, has been contributed to St. Paul’s for operating expenses, facilities improvements, outreach and special projects.

If you are interested in knowing more about how to help with the Rummage Sale, or to join the Circle, please contact Marty Beater at (650) 692-3391.
