Welcome to our 2008-2009 program year for Ministries with Children and Families at
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
The faith life of the children at St. Paul’s is of utmost importance. As Episcopalians, we understand that faith is a journey. We are also “incarnational” in our theology. That is we understand God to be revealed in our humanity and in our relationships. Therefore, participation in the wider community of a traditional faith , is a
key component in our seeking to know God. So, the quality of our children’s time here at St. Paul’s is a priority,
knowing that what they experience in this community carries a heavy weight in their formation as God’s child
and in their formation of a personal relationship with God.
We hope that within the variety of ministries offered by the Children and Family Ministries Team you will find
ways to connect and participate at St. Paul’s. It is our desire and intention that the kind of relationship you
experience here causes your child and family’s journey in God to be enlivened, enriched and informed.

Jennifer Guyer & other parents
Early Education Center of Heimann Hall
The Toddler Sunday Journey is the first step in our program to
encourage our children’s spiritual growth on Sunday Mornings. During
the hour, from 9 am to 10 am, toddler and infants are welcome to join
us as we sing song,s hear Bible stories, do an art project, have a small
snack, and play with toys. The teaching materials are geared for the
inquisitive toddler with pictures, flannel board characters, games, and
other hands-on figures to help the stories come alive. Our toddlers
participate in whatever interests them. Our goal is to help our children
develop spiritually, emotionally, and socially and to feel comfortable,
safe and secure at church.
